The Beanery of Valdosta is a
wholesale coffee roasting company located in Valdosta,
Georgia—home of football, shady oak trees draped with Spanish
moss, and lovely magnolias. It is owned by us, Tom and Ellen
Stevens of Valdosta; founded in 2005. Why did we start The
Beanery? We saw the need for artisan crafted, freshly roasted
coffee, and we knew that folks in the South Georgia - North
Florida area would love it. Not only that...they deserved it!
All coffee beans are of the Arabica variety. They are high grade, hand-picked, and mostly grown in the high altitudes of the countries in the small band between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
We roast on a Diedrich
IR-12, capable of roasting up to 25 pounds per batch. We roast to
order, so you are assured the freshest coffee possible.
As do many folks in South Georgia, Tom and Ellen both wear many hats. Tom is also an Environmental Engineer, and Ellen is also an Economics Instructor at Valdosta State University. When asked what gets us up in the morning, however, our answer is definitely...COFFEE!!
