We deliver your coffee to you on time, and shipping for wholesale orders over 40 pounds is FREE. Our focus is quality. Coffee cannot be great unless great care is taken in every step of the coffee supply chain.

First and foremost, the coffee we offer must taste great. Our focus on quality extends to conventional coffees as well as organic and shade grown coffees.   About half of our coffees are conventional (not certified as organic, fair trade, Rainforest Alliance or Bird-Friendly).  The rest of our coffees are from farms that focus on sustainable farming methods and fair treatment of labor.

These farmers, some with farms as small as 2 hectares, grow their coffee amidst tropical plants and tree cover, and hand pick their coffee. Whenever possible, we look for the use of sustainable growing methods at the farm. Certifications such as Rainforest Alliance, Bird-Friendly Coffee, Certified Organic, and Fair Trade help us to identify these farms, but we also recognize that many uncertified coffee estates are in the vanguard of sustainable agriculture and fair treatment of labor.

Once the coffee arrives at The Beanery, then it is up to us to learn, as professional craftsmen, how to roast each variety of coffee so that the innate flavor is coaxed out. We're looking for that sweet spot within each coffee, and it will be different depending on whether the coffee was a Caturra grown at a high altitude in Honduras or a Bourbon grown at a less high altitude in Brazil.

As coffee professionals, we are tuned in to trends in consumer preferences, whether at a coffee shop or at home. At the same time, we are continually learning about developments in roasting technology and world factors affecting the world supply of coffee. We continue to learn through Roasters Guild and SCAA events, trade shows, visiting coffee farms, and collaborating with other professional coffee roasters. Why do we do this? To better serve our customers.
